The regulations of the country of origin
First of all, the brands of natural cosmetics installed in Morocco must comply with the framework for the registration of cosmetic products, developed by the Directorate of Medicines and Pharmacy (DMP), which reports to the Ministry of Health. If the brand is not Moroccan, it is to the standards of its country of origin that it must comply. On the other hand, if the exported products are in bulk and raw forms, they must only comply with the standards of the country of destination.
The regulations of the country of destination
The regulations of the country of destination must be taken into consideration during the entire process of making the products. These regulations can be specific to each country; for example, they are defined in Canada by Health Canada, and in Saudi Arabia by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority. It is therefore crucial to be aware of all the criteria and all regulatory authorities specific to the destination country of your choice. It is on this basis that you will decide on the list of your products, according to the authorized products, the prescribed quantity, and even the design of the label. If the country of destination is not previously chosen, we advise you to follow the regulations and the procedure that apply for the import of a cosmetic brand on European soil, given its inclusiveness and rigor.
The types of export
It is important to note that a product billed for less than $ 100 is considered a simple export.
On the other hand, it is an export with declaration when the value of the products exceeds this amount. It becomes necessary to prepare a packing list, invoices and a product data sheet. When it concerns products subject to controls by the Foodex organization or ONSSA, there is an exportation procedure to follow, and documents to prepare. Finally, when it comes to vegetable oils, massage oils, and mainly raw and pure products of plant or animal origin, FOODEX asks to inspect the goods before export in order to provide them with a certificate of inspection.
