What is Aloe Vera?

Aloe Vera, also called aloe, Barbados aloe or by its botanical name aloe barbadensis, is a succulent plant of the Liliaceae family with pungent and evergreen leaves, native to the Mediterranean region. Originally from North Africa, it is not a foreign product in Morocco, and has undoubtedly been used in medicine and cosmetics for centuries.
Its leaves are composed of 98% water and a precious mixture of vitamins, trace elements, enzymes and amino acids, and give a transparent pulp that is a little sticky, effective against skin dryness.
The Aloe Vera gel is gently collected by delicately removing the cuticle and dermis of a very fleshy leaf, cut at its base, taking care not to injure the rest of the plant, and then in half along its entire length . The pulp is then removed by scraping it to separate it from the green and leathery part.

Healing, restorative: Aloe vera has the ability to activate microcirculation and promote cell renewal, stimulating skin repair.
Anti-wrinkle, anti-aging: By stimulating the production of collagen and hyaluronic acid and thanks to its regenerating action, the plant is also a major asset in the fight against aging.
Soothing: Applied directly in a thin layer to the skin, aloe gel soothes mild burns, sunburns, irritation, eczema, itching and atopic skin.
Anti-acne: Thanks to its antiseptic, bactericidal, anti-inflammatory properties, Aloe Vera gel is an invaluable aid in treating acne.

Anti-spots: Aloe Vera is known to reduce dark spots but also to delay their appearance.

How to incorporate it into your natural cosmetics products?

Combined with a vegetable oil such as argan oil for example, Aloe Vera will be even more effective in combating water loss. It is therefore an excellent basic ingredient for a hydrating serum.

It can be incorporated into several formulas: day and night creams, eye contour, emulsions, makeup removers, toothpastes …

The pure gel can also be marketed without additions, since it alone constitutes a complete care that is both moisturizing, nutritious and protective. Advise your clients to use it as a day cream, after waxing, or as a moisturizing mask, and to add a few drops of vegetable oil. It is advisable to keep it in an airtight jar, placed in the refrigerator.
